- פִּילוֹמָא m. (πήλωμα, S.) mud, clay ground. Sabb.XXII, 6 (147a) אין יורדין לפ׳ Y. ed., a. Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note; Bab. ed. a. Mish. קורדימא, v. קִירוֹמָא) you must not go down to the clay ground (of the brickyard, on the Sabbath).
